Our History

Concept, Inc. began in 1964 as a locally owned packaging supply company named Brown Shipping Products, and later became Marsh Tennessee Company. A corrugated company and die company were added in the `70s under the Marsh Tennessee umbrella.

In March 1997, the supply and corrugated companies were purchased by a national packaging company, Concept Packaging, based in Spartanburg, S.C. In July 1999, Dick Lindeman purchased the company from Concept Packaging and ran it as an independent supplier of packaging goods under the name Concept, Inc. A packaging fulfillment company named Concept Specialty is run out of the same facility.

In the fall of 2004, Greg Askew of Askew Enterprises purchased both the supply company and the fulfillment company from Dick Lindeman and continues to run both of them under the names Concept Supply and Concept Specialty. Both companies remain dedicated to providing the high levels of service and customer focus that have become synonymous with the name Concept.
